Kitchen Porter

The main duties of a Kitchen Porter, K.P. or Kitchen Hand is to make sure that all crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and equipment is washed and ready for use. This is a very important role and can be physically demanding as you will be on your feet for most of the day. There are no particular qualifications required however, you would need to be physically fit, hard-working, reliable and regard yourself as part of a team dedicated to delivering excellent service to the standards required by the Executive Chef.

Quickhire Recruitment is always on the lookout for experienced and non-experienced Kitchen Porters to work in high-profile Hospitality and Tourist establishments across Edinburgh, Glasgow, elsewhere in the Central-Belt and across Scotland. We offer an immediate start, flexible hours, and weekly pay at a minimum rate of £6.50/hr.

Basic requirements from QHR

We require that all staff can demonstrate the following:

  • Formal photographic identification (with visa details if applicable), ID card or passport

  • Proof of National Insurance Number

  • Very good communication skills

  • CV identifying relevant work experience and references

  • The ability to work in a team and be flexible with your skills
